OfS Consultation on changes to the National Student Survey
10th August 2022
This consultation sets out proposals for changes to the National Student Survey (NSS) arising from a review conducted by the UK higher education funding and regulatory bodies in 2020-2022. It follows the two-phase review sparked by the DfE assertion that NSS was dumbing down provision. The proposal is that the “overall” question will disappear for students in England, existing statements will be replaced by direct questions, and students will be asked about mental wellbeing and freedom of expression.
The deadline for responses is 1 September 2022. A copy of the consultation paper can be found here.
