
How we Operate / Our Governance
The CUC is a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) registered in England and Wales. We are regulated by the Charity Commission and are governed by a constitution and a Board of Trustees (Executive Committee) who are responsible for leading and developing our overall vision and direction as a membership organisation.
The Executive Committee is accountable to the wider CUC membership and comprises:
- Chair of the CUC
- Deputy Chair of the CUC
- Treasurer of the CUC
- Convenor of the Committee of Scottish Chairs (CSC)
- Chair of Chairs of Universities Wales (ChUW)
- A representative from institutions in Northern Ireland
- Up to three co-opted members chosen for their particular expertise
- Two Ex-officio members
