Membership
CUC Membership Criteria
Membership is open to the governing body Chairs of all higher education institutions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that meet the following criteria:
- Full university status, regardless of their legal form
- Degree-awarding powers
- A non-executive (i.e. lay/independent) Chair of the governing body
In addition, all members are expected to adhere to the Higher Education Code of Governance, produced by the CUC, and pay an annual membership fee.
