📢 CUC Welcomes the Post-16 Education and Skills White Paper

The Committee of University Chairs (CUC) is proud to support the UK Government’s renewed vision for universities, as outlined in the Post-16 Education and Skills White Paper.

💬We welcome the recognition of the importance of effective governance and leadership in delivering sustainable transformation.  Governing bodies play a vital role in ensuring universities are well-led, financially sustainable, and strategically focused.  “Universities are at the heart of world-class teaching, research, and innovation, and play a crucial role in attracting global talent and investment to the UK.”💬 – James Dunphy, Chief Executive Officer, CUC.

CUC is actively refreshing its Higher Education Code of Governance and developing new resources to assist governing bodies across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland – supporting their efforts to ensure long-term success for students, the economy, and local communities.

We’re pleased that the UK Government recognises the value of this work and looks forward to collaborating closely with partners to support national renewal through transformative education and research.
