Stakeholder Dinner & CUC Spring Plenary 2026: Strengthening Governance for the Future

This is your last chance to register for the CUC Stakeholder Dinner & Spring Plenary 2026 (26–27 May, Woburn House, London)—bringing together university chairs and sector leaders for discussion, insight and networking.  Highlights include: a pre-dinner address by Professor Sir Ian Chapman, Chief Executive, UKRI, at the Influencing Dinner on 26 May; a pre-recorded address by The Rt Hon Baroness Smith of Malvern, Minister for Skills, at the Plenary; and key sessions on governance and sector priorities on 27 May.  Attendees registered for the Plenary are also invited to register for the additional USS Breakfast Briefing with Dame Kate Barker (Chair, USS) and Carol Young (Group Chief Executive, USS) on the 2026 valuation.

🌟 Stakeholder Dinner, 26 May 2026.  We will host an exclusive Stakeholder Dinner at Woburn House Conference Centre on the evening before the Plenary on 26 May.  This will be a valuable opportunity to connect with Chairs and senior governance figures from across the UK, engage in insightful discussions on future-focused governance, and network in a central London venue.

🌿 CUC Spring Plenary 27 May 2026: Strengthening Governance for the Future.  We are delighted to invite university chairs to the CUC Spring Plenary, which will take place on 27 May at Woburn House Conference Centre, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9HQ.  The theme is “Strengthening Governance for the Future,” and will bring together sector leaders and representatives from all four nations, offering a unique opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping higher education governance in the years ahead.

We are also pleased to invite registered Plenary attendees to sign up to attend an optional, in-person breakfast briefing with USS, titled “USS 2026 Valuation: Charting a Course.” This will also take place at Woburn House ahead of the Plenary and will be chaired by Martin Williams, Treasurer of CUC and Chair, University of Cumbria.  Register to join Dame Kate Barker (Chair, USS) and Carol Young (Group Chief Executive, USS) for a focused briefing with an opportunity for Q&A. 👉 Register here for the additional USS session
