CUC Code Review: Interim Communication

The Committee of University Chairs (CUC) has today published an interim communication on the Higher Education Code of Governance Review.

The letter provides an update on progress to date, outlines emerging findings and key themes from the review, and sets out the next phase of engagement ahead of the publication of a refreshed Code.

The review has involved an unprecedented level of engagement across the UK higher education sector, including Chairs, governing bodies, Vice-Chancellors, students, staff, regulators and government partners. The evidence gathered will inform a Code that remains principles-based while setting clearer expectations for effective, agile and transparent governance.
